Ellie Goes Vegan: Day 10

We are on to day ten! I woke up late again, I think assessment stress is exhausting me a little. So yet another skipped breakfast for me. But overall the day wasn’t too bad. My hankering for some real meat had subsided overnight, so I didn’t feel too dismayed about sticking to Veganuary.

Also at various points in the past few days (and maybe during the next couple too, I left it too long to write everything up and now I can’t remember) I definitely consumed a lot of snacks. Oreos, those Graze things, Nakd bars, plain slices of toast. Yeah I’ve been snacking too, just thought it was worth mentioning.

Breakfast – Nothing

I skipped breakfast, sorry. I am sort of easing out of that habit a little, but some days I just wake up too late. Sleep schedule? I don’t know her, I just sleep.

Lunch – Leftover Spaghetti Bolognese

More of my slightly disappointing (but still nice) spag bol. It was better the day after though, maybe it’s because I wasn’t thinking about Pasture.

Annoyingly, I can’t find an accompanying photo, but it was essentially the same as yesterday’s so we’re not missing out too much. It was in a slightly smaller bowl though.

Dinner – Sausages with Roasted Vegetables

This time my aunt cooked without using animal fat so I could happily consume everything on the table, which was really useful!

I was a little bit jealous of my aunt and sister’s pork chops but my meat-free sausages were pretty tasty, especially smothered in gravy, so I had no complaints.

Day Ten Summary

This was a much better day than yesterday. I definitely expected to miss having meat here and there, but it’s still reassuring that it only seems to last for one meal. The spaghetti was definitely better after a day, I’m not sure why though.

Also it’s worth noting that I’m not so hungry anymore, which is good.
