Being stuck inside your house for two weeks means you need to find some ways to amuse yourself.
For me, I’ve mostly been writing a blog post everyday and exploring different ways of promoting them on my Instagram. But I can’t spend two full weeks doing nothing but blogging (or can I?).
Anyway, everyone loves a good TV show or film, so I thought today’s post could be a little list of things I’ve watched, am watching or plan to watch to keep myself amused during these two weeks.
1. Lucifer
Lucifer has been a favourite of mine for ages, and the first part of season 5 was released in perfect timing for my post-France quarantine period. It’s a classic American-detective show with a twist, the Devil is solving crimes. What’s not to love?
2. Skins
Apparently watching Skins is a rite of passage for every British teen that I somehow missed out on, so my sister has been forcing me to catch up. I mean, I have seen a few episodes here and there but I haven’t watched it religiously so I’m going to change that.
3. Aggretsuko
Aggretsuko is a Sanrio animation about a red panda who works for a trading firm in the accounting department. When she feels frustrated with her daily life she goes to a karaoke bar to sing death metal. I clicked on this once and was instantly hooked, not just by the cute animated characters, but also by the depiction of daily life in the Japanese working culture, especially that of women.
4. Fruits Basket
More anime for you, Fruits Basket was my absolute all-time favourite anime when I was growing up. Imagine my excitement when last year, they release a new version, that promised to delve even deeper into the storyline of the original manga than the first version. Then this year, they released season 2. I’ve been slowly working my way through season 2 of Fruits Basket when I’ve been with my boyfriend, but we haven’t has much time together and I’m now committed to only watching it with him. The things we do for relationships.
5. The Umbrella Academy
So I’ve seen the first season of this, and although it’s not up there as one of my favourites, I’d definitely like to also watch the 2nd season. I’ll get round to it after the rest of the shows on my list though.
So there’s a short little insight into what I’m watching at the moment, although I’ll be honest with you, I’m not really one for watching a lot of TV. That said, with a lot of time to fill, I’m sure I’ll get some ways through this little list of mine.
